“Kairis embodies maternal care and community. Cherina is a master of all things education and spiritual wholeness. Their commitment to caring for Black and Brown women at their most vulnerable is what we should all get to experience, and that’s why I chose to be trained by COS. Becoming a COS doula has felt like the culmination of my experiences with hospital laboring, cesarean births, Homebirth vbacs, my work as a Recovery & Mindset Coach, and decades serving in ministry. Birth is spiritual and emotional in addition to being pushed to the body’s extreme. Black women deserve the love and protection of powerful advocates. So that’s what we do!”
